Learning that sticks!

At the Science Zone we take kids a step ahead. We focus on broadening children's horizons, fostering a love for learning, and equipping kids with valuable skills that will serve them well in school and beyond.

Our Kids Science Club offers a combination of science experiments, planetarium workshops and STEM activities that will help students learn science in an interactive way like never before.

We run weekly sessions for children ages 3-6 and 7-10 at our centre in Boscombe on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:30pm-5:30pm). Each group age has been assigned a different weekday. We also run weekly home education sessions.

We are opening some spaces for our after school science club. Please fill in the form below to join the waiting list.

Cost and Discounts:

4 sessions per month (£60).

If your child is not able to attend to a session, it’s possible to use that credit towards your next month’s membership (you will only pay the difference).

Other alternatives:

1 session per month (£20).

2 sessions per month (£40).

You can cancel the membership at any time and also freeze it up to 3 months in a row if going away or for whatever other reason.

Opening hours during School Half Term & Holidays

Mon-Fri: 10am to 5pm.

Sat: 10am to 5pm.

We run workshops and activities for families and kids ages 3-15 during half terms and holidays.

We're closed on Bank Holidays.

Opening hours during School term (Clubs, Home Ed, SEND and School Service).

On the road:

We do science experiments and dry ice workshops for children on location.

School Service:

Science Experiments, Tech & Coding and Planetarium for Schools available.

Dorset Planetarium in the Science Zone:

Our fixed planetarium is available for groups and schools. Pre-booking is required.

We welcome local schools, SEND, home ed and adult groups to visit the Dorset Planetarium in the Science Zone, maybe for a workshop too.
